So I maaaaay have forgotten to post a Freebie at the beginning of the month - just maybe...
But before I get to that, I want to take a minute to tell you about the class I'm teaching with Mamala this weekend at ScrapGrlz in San Jose. If any of you are in the area and are jonesing to learn more about mixed media, be sure to register over at ScrapGrlz.com for our super fun class! We're going to be teaching you how to make a mixed media canvas from start to finish, from 10am - 6pm on Saturday and I seriously CANNOT wait to see what everyone comes up with!!

Here's some of the recent canvases we've made:

These are such a fun creative outlet and they have been a great way to use up those scraps and omg the techniqueee cool stuff that comes out is amazing! I can't wait for tomorrow to play with some new friends and see what comes out of it all!

So now the Freebie, shall we?

I have to say, I have been super fortunate to have been given tons of product over the last several years, partly for work that I was doing, partly for design teams, and partly because I love me some free stuff!! And since there's no way I can possibly use it all, I have been giving it away slowly over this last year or two and I am finally coming down to the last of the big "giveaway" pile. YAAAAAAAY!!!

This little kit of schtuff has 17 sheets of patterned paper and two diecuts, including We R Memory Keepers paper, Hambly paper and overlays, Best Creation glitter embossed cardstock, Webster's Pages papers and diecuts, Webster's Pages chipboard buttons, Anna Griffin journaling spots, and three bunches of Petaloo flowers. Lots of good stuff!!

To enter for your chance to win, leave me a comment about all the fun stuff you've been up to this summer. Repost on Facebook, Tweet, or blog about it for extra entries! Get your entries in by midnight onThursday, August 1 - I'll post the winner on Friday, August 3!!

  1. I wished I still live in San Jose so I can attend the canvas class. I'd love to make one of these, but kind of "afraid" to make one on my own.

This summer has been lots of fun: besides dance camp, band camp, color guard camp, we vacationed in Keystone CO, and had a quick shopping trip to Atlanta. Now, we're just settling into the end of summer and registering for school.

  2. I have been a busy girl. I decided I did not like our back bathroom so I took the doors off the cabinets and stripped, sanded and stained them and they now look like new wood oak cabinets. I then painted, put new hardware on the cabinets and hung a new light and mirror. We are also building a new garage so we took everything out and will be putting it all back in as soon as the project is finished. I have also taken time out to scrapbook, read, and create with my daughter. I love summer! Soon it will be back to school.

  4. What a great giveaway! Thank you so much for the chance to win! I have had a "crafty" summer so far. I have to have minor back surgery soon so I have been off work for a while. If it wasn't for scrapbooking I would be going crazy! Have a great day and thanks for the wonderful inspiration!
